Arranged by the Te Awamutu Branch of the NZ Society of Genealogists, Graeme MacKenzie’s presentation examines the sources for genealogical research in Scotland and shows how they are used, with particular reference to families of Highland descent and issues regarding the use of Gaelic names.
Graeme MacKenzie is Chairman of the Association of Highland Clans & Societies (of Scotland) and historian and genealogist for clans MacKenzie & MacMillen. He is a trained historian and for the last 25 years has been a professional genealogist specialising in the Highland clans and families of Scotland. He is a member of the Scottish Ancestral Tourism Group and helps the descendants of emigrant Scots find out about their ancestors and to visit Scotland.
Graeme is also an author and will have his latest book for sale "Genealogy in the Gaidhealtachd: Clan & Family History in the Highlands of Scotland"
