Join Geoff from the Cambridge Repair Collective for a hands-on workshop that gives you the practical skills to tackle household repairs, from getting your laptop to start, to your vacuum cleaner working again.

You’ll learn how to safely work through common problems, carry out simple fixes, and know when it’s time to call in the pros. It’s all about gaining the skills to keep your everyday gadgets and possessions going for longer and saving them from landfill.

What to expect:
- Hands-on repair skills that you can apply to a range of household items.
- Practical advice to tackle broken items. If you have one, bring along a small broken gadget – such as a broken lamp, or a spray pump that won’t spray.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to feel confident tinkering and fixing things at home. Whether you’re completely new to repairs, keen to pick up practical skills, or just love the satisfaction of giving your favourite things a new lease on life, this event is for you.

This event is suitable for ages 18+.

Tickets are $10. Purchase: bit.ly/45X97tj

This event is part of the Cambridge Autumn Festival and is brought to you by Waipā District Council. Events are funded from the Government’s Waste Disposal Levy, helping councils run projects that encourage reducing waste.
