It started in a living room.
In 2014, Linda and Graeme Roil began assembling care packs for children in care from a corner of their family home. What started as a simple act of kindness has grown into an organisation supporting more than 600 caregivers raising almost 1,500 children across the Waikato and Rotorua.
Today, Kids in Need Waikato distributes around 135 personalised care packs every month, alongside programmes that help children and caregivers feel valued, connected and supported.
But there is one important piece of our story still to be written.
The buildings that have become the heart of everything we do are not yet legally our home.
