Join us for a fun and creative kids’ sewing workshop, where children (aged 8+) will learn the basics of using a sewing machine and create their own personalised repair kit!
Attendees will practice simple stitches, learn how to thread a machine, and, with hands-on guidance, discover how easy it is to fix clothing instead of throwing it away.
Led by Sarah from Sip & Sew, a trained primary school teacher and sewing superstar, this workshop is great for tamariki wanting to try something new, where they can learn at their own pace in a fun, friendly environment.
This event is perfect for complete beginners or those who already know their way around a sewing machine.
Parents can either drop their kids off or stay to join the fun.
What’s included:
- sewing machines and materials
- a light morning tea
- beginner-friendly, step-by-step guidance
- a personalised take-home repair kit
Tickets are $10. Purchase: bit.ly/3Zr9A37
