This event is back by popular demand! Join us for a hands-on Kintsugi workshop with expert Yoko Shimoyama. Kintsugi, or "Golden Joinery," is the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics using lacquer and gold powder, turning flaws into a celebration of imperfection.
In this small-group tutorial, Yoko will guide you through step-by-step instructions and show you how to restore your broken ceramics in a unique and beautiful way. No experience is needed.
Please bring along your own broken ceramic piece to restore, all other materials will be provided. Spaces are limited, so book your spot today for this memorable and creative experience!
What you need to bring:
- a broken ceramic (nothing too complicated - ideally an item with one to three broken or chipped pieces)
- a box to transport your repaired ceramics home
To be prepared for the workshop please:
- tie up long hair
- avoid wearing tops with long, loose sleeves. Instead, wear something fitted or a top with sleeves you can easily roll up
Light refreshments will be provided. This event is suitable for ages 18+.
Tickets are $30. Purchase: bit.ly/4tor2D6
