Join us for a fun afternoon of sewing and great company, led by Sarah from Sip & Sew! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to care for a sewing machine, the basic skills of sewing and create your own machine maintenance pouch.
If you have a sewing machine, bring it along or use one of ours to learn how to clean, oil and maintain them. Cambridge Repair Collective will also be on hand for any advice.
Get creative and learn how to make a stylish zipper pouch to hold all you need for your own maintenance kit - complete with oil, a brush, and a small screwdriver to keep your machine happy.
No experience? No problem! This workshop is perfect for beginners, seasoned sewers, or anyone who just wants to have fun, learn new skills, and walk away with something they made themselves.
What’s included:
- sewing machines and all materials (or bring your own)
- step-by-step guidance on sewing and machine care
- your take-home maintenance kit and zipper pouch
- light refreshments
This event is suitable for ages 18+.
