EUROPEAN NIGHTINGALE - Violin music from Renaissance to Romantic

Join us for European Nightingale, an afternoon of music spanning Renaissance to Romantic, performed by internationally acclaimed New Zealand violinist Olivia Rose Francis, alongside Rachael Griffiths-Hughes and Francis Cowan.

Now based in Copenhagen as Assistant Principal Second Violin with the Royal Danish Theatre, Olivia has performed with some of Europe's finest orchestras, including the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Zurich and Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. A passionate Baroque specialist and prize winner at the prestigious International H.I.F. Biber Competition in Austria, Olivia brings a wealth of international experience to this special recital.

The programme features music by European composers from seven countries, culminating in The Victorious Nightingale.
