Justin and Jonathan Chang: Classical Guitar

Jonathan and Justin Chang are two of New Zealand's most promising classical guitarists. The brothers have already distinguished themselves through exceptional musicianship, technical command, and a maturity of interpretation well beyond their years. In this concert, they will present a programme of solo and duo works spanning a wide range of styles and periods, including music by Weiss, Scarlatti, Coste, Pujol, Brouwer and Pasieczny.

Both Jonathan and Justin have achieved national recognition through major competition successes: prizewinners in the New Zealand International Classical Guitar Competition (youth division) and awarded top honours at the New Zealand Aspiring Classical Guitarist competition, these achievements place them among the leading emerging guitarists of their generation in Aotearoa.
