We want all events in Waipā to be safe and this goes for the supply of food too.
Your event might have food stalls or food trucks, or might be a food festival. In any case you may need a permit issued by our Environmental Services team.
Be aware that Council might pop along to your event and that anyone not complying with the permit could be asked not to trade. To ensure your event goes smoothly, please plan for this process before the event.
Every food stall holder must submit an application and pay any costs associated with the process.
As an event organiser you will be expected to collect all stall holders registrations and applications and submit these together to Council for approval at least 20 working days before the event. Stall holders with licensed food premises must also submit an application and fee.
